OnePlus 5 is one of the most anticipated smartphones to launch in 2017. With each passing day, we come across a new leak regarding the upcoming flagship from the company. After teasing the quality of its camera following a tie-up with DXO, a new leak shows what is claimed to be the retail box of the OnePlus 5.
According to a report by Android Authority, the leaked retail box confirms the rumoured dual camera set up. The image posted shows a side of the retail box which reads 'Dual Camera. Clearer Photos.' The company has also asked weibo users to choose the front of the retail box, from a selection of eight images. Another leak hinted at the smartphone with 3,330 mAh battery instead of the expected bump in the battery life.
Earlier, OnePlus shared a tweet captioned 'Look into the shadows. What do you 5ee?', suggesting that the phone would be smaller in terms of dimension when compared to its current flagship, the OnePlus 3T and its predecessor, the OnePlus 3.
GizmoChina also managed to get their hands on an image which is supposedly an original screenshot of the OnePlus 5, posted by the CEO, Liu Zuohu. The screenshot reveals that the company will not go for qHD or 2K screen settling for a full HD variant for the OnePlus 5.
With leaks filling in fast, numerous sources have also tried pouring in with tentative dates for the launch of the device. A leaked promo poster from Chinese social media website Weibo hints at 20 June 2017 as the launch date for the OnePlus 5. OnePlus has not announced anything officially so we can take these rumours with a grain of salt until anything is officially announced.
