NPCI launches BHIMUPI, a dedicated website for Bharat Interface for Money

To increase the dissemination of information about the Bharat Interface for Money ( BHIM ) app to the general public, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has launched the BHIMUPI website. The website will contain videos and infographics informing the citizens of the nation about the various features of the BHIM app, how to use it, and the and the advantages it offers. Users can also find out more information about the BHIM app through the dedicated number, 022 – 45414740.

Mr. A. P. Hota, MD and CEO, NPCI said, “The website will meet the needs of the customers for general information on BHIM and incentive programmes launched by the government in the form of BHIM referral programmes. Through simple tools like product videos, customer can have self-learning instead of calling banks and NPCI.”

The BHIM app uses a clean and simple interface that allows users to make instant transactions through a number of ways, including the Unified Payment Interface (UPI). Recently, the NPCI announced that UPI is being offered by more than 50 banks across the country . Till 14 October 2017, there is a Rs 495 crore  referral scheme ongoing for using the BHIM app. After a new user executes at least three transactions through the app totaling a minimum of Rs 50, the referrer gets paid Rs 10, while the referee gets paid Rs 25.
