Nokia made a comeback with Android and announced some budget smartphones at MWC (Mobile World Congress) this year. While some fans were thrilled to see the Nokia brand back in the smartphone business, there were a few who were expecting some flagship level devices.
There have been a bunch of leaks in the past suggesting a Nokia 8 smartphone with a beefier chip and high-end camera capabilities. Today yet another leak has emerged and this time we have two handsets. The leak suggests that Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 smartphones are in the works and will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 660 chipset.
A couple of images have been posted on Chinese website Baidu which show alleged sketches of the rumored Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 smartphones. One of them seems to feature a dual-camera with the Zeiss moniker. The other one however has a single camera unit with the Zeiss branding.
The second image is said to be a close-up sketch of the Nokia 7. While the rear is different from the first set of smartphones announced by Nokia, the front does look similar to the Nokia 6 . This one could be mid-range device but not a flagship. Previous leaks of Nokia 8 however have mentioned that it will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, 6GB RAM, either 64GB or 128GB storage with the option to expand the storage using a microSD card slot. It will sport a 24MP OIS + EIS sporting rear camera and a 12MP front-facing camera along with dual-front speakers.
