New Nokia 9 leaks show an FCC-approved dual-SIM variant of the HMD flagship

A variant said to be the dual-SIM variant of the Nokia 9 that was certified by the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) earlier this week.

The internet has constantly reported new leaks related to the Nokia 9, the much-anticipated flagship from HMD Global. According to the reports by Nokiapoweruser, TA-1004, a variant of the Nokia 9 is supposed to be the dual-SIM variant of the FCC-certified Nokia 9.

The smartphone cleared the EA Union certification a week ago. A new variant of the smartphone known as TA-1004 was spotted at the FCC certified list. The FCC certification reveals is that the Nokia 9 will have a 5.3-inch display and that the TA-1004 will be a Dual-SIM variant. Another report citing the Antutu benchmarking website scores pointed that the smartphone sports a 5.3-inch qHD display. This report about the Nokia 9 with 5.3-inch display size confirms the display size of the TA-1004.

The Antutu benchmark scores for the Nokia 9 were impressive with 2255 points in single-core test and 7770 points on the multi-core test. Antutu was not the only benchmarking website to report about the Nokia 9. The smartphone was also spotted on the Geekbench website with the same 7770 multi-core score. This score hinted at the smartphone being powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 clocked at 1.9 GHz with the Adreno 540 GPU.

This development comes three weeks after alleged photos of the Nokia 9 were leaked online. The leaked pointed towards a dual camera setup without an expected Carl Zeiss lens and the inclusion of a USB-type C port.
