Moto E4 and E4 Plus hardware and pricing details leak out

Lenovo has added a quad-core MediaTek MT6737M processor clocked at 1.3 GHz along with 2,800 mAh battery to power Moto E4.


There have been constant leaks about the upcoming entry-level Moto branded smartphones from Lenovo. Approximately two weeks ago smartphone leaker Evan Blass leaked the images of Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus. Now after a number of rumours a comprehensive leak has detailed all the specs for the upcoming smartphones. The interesting part about thing leak is that pricing information has also leaked along with specifications of the smartphones.

According to a detailed report by GSMArena, Moto E4 will sport a 5-inch HD LCD panel screen. Lenovo has added a quad-core MediaTek MT6737M processor clocked at 1.3 GHz along with 2,800 mAh battery to power the smartphone. The device comes with an 8 MP camera module on the back along with a 5 MP camera module on the front for selfies. E4 is stated to come with 16 GB internal storage along with a microSD card slot to expand the storage.

Lenovo has added 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11, GPS and optional NFC as connectivity options for the entry-level device. The most interesting thing about this device will be that it will run Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box. The report hints that Moto E4 will come in Gray, Gold and Blue colours and it is priced at €150 which amounts to about Rs 12,413. We can expect a lower price point for the device in India.

Moto E4 Plus will carry almost all the specs from Moto E4 with a few upgrades. The Plus model will see a 13 MP camera module on the back instead of the 8 MP camera module that will allegedly come with Moto E4. The smartphone will come with a 5.5-inch, 5,000 mAh battery and a 3 GB RAM variant. Lenovo has priced the smartphone at €190 which amounts for Rs 15,723 at the time of writing for the 2 GB variant. The 3 GB RAM variant will be priced even higher and both the variants will be available in Gray and Gold colours.

One thing to note is that both the smartphones will come with a front-facing fingerprint scanner. The report confirmed that both the smartphones will come with Dual SIM functionality but it is unclear if the second SIM slot will work as a hybrid.
