Micromax has launched a new voice calling tablet with 3G connectivity called Canvas Breeze Tab P660 for a price of Rs 19,999. However, the exclusive retail partner for the tablet Snapdeal is selling the device for Rs 9,990, which is a whooping 50% discount.
In terms of specifications, the tablet sports a 7.85-inch IPS display with a 1024x768 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8389WM processor paired with 1GB RAM. It features a 5-megapixel fixed-focus rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. HDR, Smile Detection Shot, Panorama mode, and Face Beauty mode are some of the features included.
It has internal storage of 8GB which can be further expanded to 32GB via microSD card. The dual SIM tablet is backed by 4,000 mAh battery which the company claims, can offer up to 310 hours of standby time and 12 hours of talk time.
The device is said to run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and there is no news as to when the device will be updated. In terms of connectivity, the tablet supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 2G and 3G.
Micromax has tied up with Airtel to offer 500 MB of free 2G/3G connectivity per month for 6 months and is also offering a 4,400mAh power bank which doubles as a USB/ADSL router with a speed up 150 Mbps to those who purchase the device. The tablet is available in Red and Black colors.
