Lenovo has announced that it has slashed the price of Z2 Plus smartphone by Rs 3,000 bringing the cost down to Rs 14,999 for its 32GB variant. The smartphone went on sale for Rs 17,999 at the time of launch, and it was exclusive to Amazon. In addition to the price cut for the 32GB internal storage variant, the company also announced that the price of the 64GB variant of Lenovo Z2 Plus is reduced from Rs 19,999 to Rs 17,499. The smartphone was earlier exclusive to Amazon on its launch, but now it has announced that the smartphones will also be available on Flipkart.
Lenovo Z2 Plus is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset with a quad-core Kyro CPU clocked at 2.15GHz and Adreno 530 graphics solution. It is paired with 4GB of DDR4 RAM and 64GB of storage out of which around 58.2GB is available to the user. There is no provision to expand the storage by adding in a microSD card. For storage, Lenovo Z2 Plus uses a SanDisk i7232 smartSLC which has a small portion of the storage with SLC memory which is faster than traditional flash storage.
It comes with a dual nano SIM configuration which can take in two 4G SIM cards and also has support for 4G+, VoLTE. It supports Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS, there’s a USB Type-C port for data transfer, FM radio is not supported. It houses a 3500mAh battery which is non-removable. It supports Intelligent Charge Cut-off technology which takes power from the AC power source after the battery is 100 percent charged.
