Lenovo P2 with 5.5-inch display and 5,100 mAh battery will sell for Rs 16,999 on Flipkart

Lenovo has finally announced the price for its much-anticipated P2 handset . The smartphone, which is to be sold as a Flipkart exclusive from 11 January onwards. Prices will start at Rs 16,999.

The Lenovo P2 features a metal uni-body shell, a 5.5-inch Full HD, Super AMOLED display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass and a 5,100 mAh battery. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 625 (at 2GHz) and is backed by 3GB or 4GB of RAM. You only get 32GB of storage, but this is expandable by up to 128GB via a microSD card. The phone also supports rapid charging via its bundled 24W charger.

The phone supports dual nano SIMs and LTE speeds. It also supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.1.

The cameras come in the form of a 13MP Sony IMX258 rear sensor and the front is a 5MP unit. Video recording is limited to Full HD.

The phone will be available in two colours, Champagne Gold and Graphite Grey.

Other features include Android 6.0.1 support, a dual-app mode so you can sign into an app with two different accounts and other such Lenovo-specific features.

The phone also supports Lenovo’s TheatreMax technology, which transforms your screen into a VR display when connected to an appropriate VR headset.
