Google Chrome for Android was updated to have the ability of saving pages for offline viewing in December last year. Taking a step ahead, the company today has added a small but useful update to this feature making it easier to download pages for offline viewing.
Now when you long press on any link in Chrome, a new option called ‘Download link’ appears. This option also appears when you tap and hold on any article suggestion on a new tab page. Also, if you happen to have connectivity issues or for any reason the Chrome dinosaur image appears, you will now see a ‘Download Page Later’ button that will automatically save the page whenever you are back online. Sounds neat. All downloaded articles show up in the recent downloads list with a new offline badge.

“Now you’ll always have a ready-to-go list of pages or articles to read even if you are out of data for the month or lose the network in a dead zone. Update to the latest version of Chrome and tap the download icon on any page to get started,” Google said in a blog post .
So basically you can save pages when you are online or offline. Of course to do that you will need the latest version of Chrome (v58 or above) for Android.
