What’s better than a quad-rotor drone? A drone made of Lego of course! Think of the possibilities.
Kitables, the makers of the first Lego drone kit now intends to make an even smaller Lego drone. This one’s called the ‘DIY Mini Lego Drone Kit’ and it’s currently on KickStarter .
The funding goal is a mere $7,523, which means the project is already funded. If you’re interested in the first batch of drone kits, you can pre-order one by supporting the KickStarter for $50 (around Rs 3,400).
As with its previous Lego Drone, Kitables promises that the all the parts for a basic mini Lego drone will be shipped in one box. Obviously, since this Lego we’re dealing with, our imagination is the only thing preventing us from designing any sort of drone we please.
Kitables’ ambition is to “make DIY projects accessible for everyone”. The simplicity of the Lego drones is testament to that.
The project will run until 17 February 2017, so be sure to place your order by then. Kitables does ship to India, but be prepared to cough up an additional $26 (around Rs 1,800) as shipping charges.
