Leaks about Google’s supposed mid-range Pixel 3 Lite series have been hovering on the internet quite for some time now. While previous reports suggested that the Mountain View company could likely introduce two devices, dubbed as Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 Lite XL, latest leaks now shed more light on the specifications. The bigger variant of the Pixel 3 Lite has supposedly appeared on synthetic mobile benchmark test, Geekbench.
As per the listing, the Pixel 3 Lite XL will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset and run the latest Android version, Android 9.0 Pie. While the listing corroborates the details that were reported earlier, it revealed an interesting aspect of the Pixel 3 Lite XL. The listing suggests that the phone could likely have 6 GB of RAM. Notably, the current Pixel 3 series offer a decent 4 GB of RAM, but users have been complaining that it's not enough. Apart from the processing hardware and RAM capacity, the Geekbench listing showcases the model number as ‘Foxconn Pixel 3 XL,’ which indicates that the handset might be manufactured by the Taiwanese multi-tech company.
As for other aspects, the upcoming Pixel 3 Lite series is speculated to carry a similar camera configuration as that of the current Pixel 3 lineup. The phones are tipped to feature a 12 MP rear camera, but unlike the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, the Lite version is said to have a single 8 MP selfie camera. In terms of design, a leaked hands-on image by tipster Ben Geskin revealed that the Pixel 3 Lite could have a slightly taller footprint compared to the Pixel 3. Moreover, both the Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 Lite XL are rumoured to retain the standard 3.5 mm audio jack which is missing on the current Pixel 3 series. Both the devices are said to offer 32 GB of native storage. The smaller version could likely feature a 5.56-inch display, while the bigger variant would supposedly have a 6-inch 1080p LCD display. Reports predict that Google might unveil its mid-range Pixel 3 Lite series at MWC 2019 next month.
