Google has just released a new update for its Photos app for iOS users. The new update with version number 2.14, is said to introduce AirPlay functionality. This means owners of an Apple TV can now stream pictures and videos directly from the Google Photos app to their big screen.

Prior to this update, iOS users were forced to view their content on TV by using third-party apps. While the Google Photos app has seen a variety of updates in the past, with features including video stabilisation, content-aware filters and visual search among others.
