Anyone who has watched the James Bond series may have loved the gadgetry that the principal character brings alive on screen. While reality may not able to fit such fictional gadgets yet, a Swiss watchmaker, Hyetis , is now bringing a Q-level (Q being the quartermaster seen in the Bond series) smartwatch to the market.

The first Swiss smartwatch, the Hyetis Crossbow , has promised to come with a 41 megapixel camera sporting Carl Zeiss optics. While other competitors are bringing features like being able to check texts or emails without pulling out a smartphone, or answering calls just by holding your hand to your ear to bear, the Crossbow plans to stand in a class apart.

The smartwatch comes with NFC support and is Wi-Fi and Bluetooth-enabled. Apart from that, Hyetis has also thrown in an altimeter, a microphone, a thermometer as well as all sorts of other gauges. The band of the smartwatch even comes with biometric sensors that will measure the wearer’s physical health and condition. The smartwatch also comes with two rechargeable batteries. The only thing left to attach is the kitchen sink, really.

While the high-tech aspect of the smartwatch is undeniable, the quality of the build is definitely Swiss. The body of the device is made of titanium and the face of the watch is protected by sapphire glass. The primary function, telling time, is done by using automatic wound movement that is housed separately from all the other features in the smartwatch. And the device comes with an analogue face, with the display lying under the mechanical arms.

The company has so far announced that the Hyetis Crossbow will be distributed globally as part of a 500 piece collector’s edition and will bear a whooping price tag of $1,200 (Rs 73,830 approx). At that price, a user can pick up a Pebble smartwatch, priced at $150 (Rs 9,220 approx), for every day of the week and still have change left over. The smartwatch can be configured with a free app on the Hyetis web site.
