Dell Debuts Smartphone For $100 On Contract

After much waiting, Dell’s finally released its smartphone, the Aero. This device has a 3.5 inch touchscreen, runs on Android 1.5 and is $100 with a 2 year new contract with AT&T and $300 without. The phone claims to be the lightest Android in the States and weighs 104 grams and is 11.7mm thin. It’s got a 624MHz processor, 2GB microSD card, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support as well as an inbuilt GPS receiver.

There is no word yet on whether the phone will get an upgrade to its OS, because face it, it’s all about the froyo and the gingerbread right now. It also comes supporting Adobe Systems’ Flash which it claims to set it apart from the iPhone.
