CES 2011: Torchlight coming to Xbox360

PC’s indie darling, hack-and-slash dungeon crawler, Torchlight is finally making its way to Xbox Live as part of Microsoft’s new Xbox Live Arcade House Party program.

The festivities kick off by the 16th of February with Konami’s Contra-esque platformer, Hard Corps Uprising that’ll be followed by Beyond Good & Evil, Full House Poker, Bejeweled Blitz Live and Torchlight in the subsequent weeks.

While details such as exact dates and prices are missing Microsoft did make us real happy by announcing online co-operative play for this game, a feature most gamers felt was sorely missing from both the PC and the Mac version. Besides that expect achievements (woot), new armor, quests, combat mechanics and revamped controls.

Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now. see more
