Chinese certification site TENAA in its listing has mentioned that the recently launched Apple iPhone 8 / 8 Plus comes with a downgrade in its battery capacity as compared to the last generation iPhone 7 / 7 Plus.
As Apple does not mention battery capacity as well as RAM inside their phones, users have to compare the iPhone with its predecessors to test the performance of a phone. As the tech-giant optimises battery power by mating it with its software, even though the battery rating of an iPhone battery is on the lower side when compared with flagship Android devices, it still provides good performance.
According to a tweet by Steve H the website listing shows that the iPhone 8 comes with a 1,821 mAh battery while the iPhone 7 was powered by a 1,960 mAh battery.
The iPhone 8 Plus comes with a 2,675 mAh battery and iPhone 7 Plus packed 2,900 mAh battery.
The website has also mentioned that the RAM inside these iPhone. According to the listing, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 comes with 2 GB of RAM whereas the iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 8 Plus have 3 GB RAM.
Apple has claimed that the iPhone 8 will last the same amount of time as the iPhone 7 with up to 14 hours of talk-time, up to 12 hours of internet use, 13 hours of wireless video playback, 40 hours of wireless audio playback.
The iPhone 8 Plus as compared to iPhone 7 Plus is also promised to come with similar battery life with up to 21 hours of talk-time, 13 hours of internet use, 14 hours of wireless video playback and 60 hours of wireless audio playback.
Both these phones are also capable of being charged to up to 50 percent in 30 minutes.
