With Apple’s WWDC 2017 is just a little over a month away, there is surprisingly little information about its upcoming iOS 11 operating system. We know that Siri will be deeply integrated into the OS and that Apple may be planning to focus on augmented reality (AR) using its new 3D camera hardware, but what about the rest? Will Apple iOS 11 bring some changes to its UI?

Well, Bloomberg had a chat with Apple executive Jimmy Iovine who revealed that one area will see a major change in iOS and that would be the Apple Music app.

The Bloomberg profile , revealed that the next iteration of iOS will pack in an almost new Apple Music app. However, the focus this time would be on video. With Carpool Karaoke delayed, by a bit , it all slowly begins to makes sense.

The executive explained that music-oriented programming would be the focus, commenting that, “A music service needs to be more than a bunch of songs and a few playlists,”. He explained that he was trying to help Apple Music become a movement in popular culture and this would mean bringing everyone on video, including unsigned bands. “We have a lot of plans” he said.

Iovine told Bloomberg that Apple has the freedom to try anything it likes “because it’s Apple, to make one show, three shows, see what works, see what doesn’t work until it feels good.”

A report also hints that by 2017 Apple Music will have more than 10 original series on music and its artists, some of which include documentaries on Bad Boy Records founder Puff Daddy and even Cash Money Records.

As for the other features expected to arrive with iOS 11, Apple is expected to focus on Siri with tighter integration within native apps. Then there’s augmented reality, a feature that should now be possible thanks to some new and advanced 3D cameras.
