After the announcement  of the Ryzen 7 desktop CPU launch, AMD at an event held in Beijing, China finally announced its AMD Ryzen 5 desktop processor lineup. The new range of desktop processors meant to take on their Intel counterparts head on, and will launch worldwide on 11 April with price tags in India starting from Rs 12,199.

The lineup once again goes with disruptive performance and pricing and is looking at gamers and creators as their target consumers.

The chipsets feature the powerful and efficient ‘Zen’ architecture in 6-core, 12-thread and 4-core, 8-thread options.

AMD Ryzen Cooler Wraith

The AMD Ryzen 5 lineup also includes new Wraith coolers, including the Wraith Spire and the Wraith Stealth, thermal solutions that are designed to provide near-silent operation, with unique styling and better cooling.

All Ryzen processors support the new AM4 infrastructure, with motherboard designs being produced from top ODMs.
