Alleged Moto X (2017) leaks reveal Moto G5 like design and mid-range specifications

New leaked photos of an alleged Moto X (2017) smartphone with model number XT1801 have appeared online coming from +HelloMotoHK on Google+.

The Moto X was last seen in 2015 when the company launched three variants, the Moto X Play, Moto X Style and the Moto X Force. Since then we have seen a couple of leaks and renders of new Moto X devices, but none of them panned out.

Last year the company went on to announce the Moto Z series with Moto Mods, and said that the Moto X will be kept alive. It seems that finally Moto will launch an all new Moto X this year.

New leaked photos of an alleged Moto X (2017) smartphone with model number XT1801 have appeared online coming from +HelloMotoHK on Google+. The handset shown is a metal smartphone with a curved finish. It looks very similar to the Moto G5 and G5 Plus which were launched recently.

The display is being said to measure 5.5-inches and there is an oval fingerprint scanner below it just like the one found on Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus smartphones. The resolution of the display is expected to be Full HD. Notably, there is an LED flash for the front camera.

As mentioned above, the back is similar to the Moto G5 and you can see the round camera module except it has a dual-lens configuration and a dual-LED flash. The leak suggests that it will be a mid-ranger running on a Snapdragon 625 with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which is yet again similar to the Moto G5 Plus.
