Airtel and Vodafone unlimited voice calling plans to be capped at 300 minutes a day

Telecom operators Airtel and Vodafone are expected to make changes to their unlimited calling offers as reported by Telecom Talk. Both the companies will now restrict the daily usage to 300 minutes and the report says that the new plans would be effective starting tonight.

Telecom operators Airtel and Vodafone are expected to make changes to their unlimited calling offers as reported by Telecom Talk. Both the companies will now restrict the daily usage to 300 minutes and the report says that the new plans would be effective starting tonight.

Airtel has been offering Rs 145 and Rs 345 plans with unlimited voice calls along with some data. From today it will restrict the daily calling limit but it will allow users to choose the plan on per week limit as well.

The Rs 145 plan will now offer 1200 minutes of local and STD Airtel to Airtel voice calls for one week and users will have an option of getting the plan on a daily limit basis, where usage will be restricted to 300 minutes a day. Airtel will also offer an option on both the plans where customers who call 100 unique users in seven days will be charged at nominal rates, and after exhausting the limit they will be charged 10 paisa per minute.

On the other hand, Vodafone was offering unlimited Local and STD mobile and landline calls along with 1GB of data (4G users) with 28 days validity at Rs 348. Calls will now be limited to 300 minutes a day, after which the telco will charge customers 30 paisa per minute. As for the Rs 148 pack which offered similar benefits, customers will be charged 10 paisa per minute on exceeding the daily 300 minutes limit.
