The wait is finally over. Nokia released its mammoth 41-megapixel featured Nokia Lumia 1020 in India today. I got a chance to get an hands-on sneak peek into the device that has been making headlines for its high-end camera.
First off, the feature that most tech enthusiasts are talking about - the 41-megapixel camera. However, tech experts and enthusiasts know that more megapixels don’t necessarily make a good camera. Nokia knows it too well, which is why they have thrown in a giant two-thirds of an inch sized image sensor. This is substantially bigger and better than any iPhone or Samsung Galaxy S4 insulating it from competition for quite some time to come.
The Nokia Lumia 1020 also sports six lens elements that are specially designed for the phone by Carl Zeiss that make low light photography an absolute breeze. Nokia has gone ahead and added all professional camera modifications into the phone which will appeal to the professional photographers out there as well.
The catch here is that Nokia is yet to reveal its price in India. For more on the phone and its mind-boggling camera check the video review above.
