Games on Hike Beta records 100 million play sessions in 26 days post launch

Hike messenger is India’s first smartphone instant messaging service, and the fastest growing. On 9 March, 2016, it launched Games on Hike Beta for its 2 million Android users. The platform provides five classic pick up and play titles for casual gameplay. These are Snake, Solitaire, Chess, Word Rush and Sudoku.

The games are optimised to work on as many handsets as possible, and are conservative when it comes the memory footprint with the games ranging in size from 300 KB to 491 KB. There are social gaming features included in the app, to share and compare high scores. All these considerations seem to be working, as Games on Hike Beta has recorded 100 million unique play sessions in the 26 days since its launch. Players are spending an average of 20 minutes a day on these games.
