One of the surprise announcements at E3 2017 was that Shadow of the Colossus would be coming to the PS4. Originally released in 2005 for the PS2, a remaster of the game was available for the PS3 in 2011. Now, users with the latest generation of consoles can enjoy a version of the game with updated graphics on the latest version of the console. In the game, you play as the hero Wander, who has to roam a minimalistic fantasy realm killing monsters of various sizes. There is little else in the game apart from the gigantic colossi and the environment. The monster killing game doubles up as a puzzle game of sorts, as elements from the surroundings of the colossi have to be used to kill the monsters. The trailer showcases Collosi that will be familiar to those who have played the game before.
There is a glimpse of Phalanx, one of the biggest Collosi in the game. Glaus with a massive stone club, and Quadratus also makes an appearance. Towards the end of the trailer, you can see the sigils on one of the colossi, that need to be attacked to kill the monsters. The graphics are visibly improved over the 2011 version for the PS3. This is one of the most beautiful and evocative games ever made, but users will have to wait till 2018 to get their hands on the remastered title.
