Apple’s upcoming iPhone SE 4 is shaping up to be a compelling option for budget-conscious buyers, with its price reportedly set to remain under $500. A fresh report from a Japanese source, shared by a known leaker, has added weight to earlier rumours about its affordability. The iPhone SE lineup has always been Apple’s most accessible range, and this upcoming model seems poised to follow suit.

While the exact pricing details remain under wraps, speculation **suggests the iPhone SE 4** could see a slight bump compared to its predecessor, which is currently priced at $429. Even with a possible $70 increase, the phone would still sit comfortably below the $500 mark, retaining its position as the most budget-friendly iPhone option.

STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD

New features at an affordable price

Rumours indicate that the iPhone SE 4 will introduce some significant upgrades while maintaining its lower price point. Notably, it’s expected to feature Apple’s first in-house 5G modem, a shift away from the Qualcomm modems used in previous models. This development could signal Apple’s continued push for greater control over its hardware ecosystem.

The design is also anticipated to undergo a major transformation, with the device resembling the iPhone 14. This means a move away from the iconic Home button to a sleeker design incorporating Face ID. These updates could make the iPhone SE 4 an appealing choice for those looking for modern features without the hefty price tag.

A strategic pricing move for India

Keeping the price under $500 aligns with Apple’s strategy to offer a competitive entry point for new users and those seeking a secondary device. Even with potential cost increases due to the new hardware, Apple appears to be committed to maintaining the SE’s appeal as a value-packed option within its lineup.

For the Indian market, where Apple devices often carry a premium, the iPhone SE 4’s pricing could still make it one of the more affordable models. When converted directly, the iPhone SE 4 should cost around Rs 42,000-43,000.

However if Apple’s recent pricing strategies are anything to go by, the new iPhone SE 4 could be priced around the Rs 50,000 mark. This could help Apple strengthen its foothold in price-sensitive regions while broadening its customer base.

Launch rumours heating up

Although Apple has not officially confirmed a launch date, speculation is swirling that the iPhone SE 4 could debut in early 2025. While popular leaker yeux1122, who shared this latest tidbit, has a mixed record of accuracy, the consistent stream of similar reports suggests there may be some truth to these claims.

Whether these rumours hold up or not, **the iPhone** SE 4 is poised to remain a key player in Apple’s strategy, offering cutting-edge features at a price that’s easier on the wallet. Fans will just have to wait and see how it all pans out.
