•An unidentified man was beaten to death by a mob on Tuesday after he was allegedly caught stealing from a house in Bihar's Vaishali. 'We have also registered a case against unidentified persons in connection with his murder', said SHO Dharamjeet Mehto. Last month, a man named Tabrez Ansari was attacked by a mob in Kharsawan district of Jharkhand on the suspicion of theft.

The body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem and investigation in the case is underway, SHO said.
