They put up a gritty performance in Kolkata before collapsing in the last few sessions, were miserable in Nagpur but in Delhi they have been absolutely magnificent. All the batsmen stood up right from Dhananjaya de Silva to the debutant Roshen Silva. India might have felt that they have a chance when de Silva retired hurt but Dickwella and Roshen stitched up a solid stand.
