With the home stretch of ISL 2020-21 fast approaching, Firstpost takes a look at some of the key storylines from the season so far.
ISL 2020-21: Bengaluru FC aim for fresh start under interim coach Naushad Moosa as they take on SC East Bengal
Carles Cuadrat, who had guided Bengaluru FC to the title in 2018-19 season, was shown the door due to their disastrous performance this year, with Naushad Moosa taking over the reins.
ISL 2020-21: Bengaluru FC part ways with head coach Carles Cuadrat after string of disappointing results
Naushad Moosa has been named as interim head coach with immediate effect.
For the first time in the history of ISL, Bengaluru FC have failed to score in consecutive games, losing to ATK Mohun Bagan and Jamshedpur FC in their previous two fixtures.
While ATKMB boast of a strong attacking line-up, they have even better defensive statistics. Bengaluru's figures aren't bad either. They are yet to taste a defeat in the campaign.
Odisha's defense has conceded seven goals so far, four of which have been from set-pieces — three penalties and a free-kick. They have conceded a goal in almost every match.
It has not been an ideal start for Bengaluru with three draws and just one win in four matches. But, head coach Carles Cuadrat is aiming to get his side back on track and is eyeing full points against Kerala Blasters at the Fatorda Stadium.
ISL 2020-21: Luis Machado scores brace as NorthEast United fight back from behind to hold Bengaluru FC to draw
Gerard Nus' men took an early lead through a fortuitous strike from Machado (4th) but Bengaluru hit back through Juanan (13th) and substitute Udanta Singh (70th).
The match will pit Bengaluru's defence, against NorthEast United's attack.
With Mohun Bagan joining ATK and entry of East Bengal, ISL 2020-21 will be the first season with the biggies from Kolkata. 11 teams will vie for the title when the season begins on 20 November.
