Google to partner with Indian smartphone makers to launch Android Go running phones at Rs 2,000; Micromax device expected by Jan-end

Google has partnered with various companies including Micromax, Intex, Lava, Karbonn to launch the devices based on the Android Oreo Go edition.

MediaTek chipsets supporting Android Oreo 'Go' edition will be available globally from 2018

MediaTek chipsets, including MT6739 and MT6737, currently support Android Oreo 'Go' for 4G devices while MT6580 supports the OS for 3G devices.
