Virender Sehwag axed from Indian team for Australia Tests

The All-India Senior Selection Committee has announced the Indian team for the third and fourth Tests of the ongoing Test series against Australia.

Virender Sehwag is the sole casualty in the team. He was the only man to be dropped as the selectors continued to show faith in Harbhajan Singh and Ishant Sharma. The decision also means that Shikhar Dhawan is going to open for India in the third Test.

Selection committee chairman has already indicated that he looks at Ajinkya Rahane as a middle-order batsman. The third Test will be played at Mohali from 14 March 2013 to 18 March 2013, and the fourth at Delhi from 22 March 2013 to 26 March 2013.
