Defending champions Switzerland will play the United States and the Czech Republic in the group phase of the Billie Jean King Cup Finals. Switzerland won the title for the first time last year after defeating Australia in the final in Glasgow. The US have won the competition a record 18 times, while the Czech Republic have lifted the trophy on 11 occasions, most recently in 2018. Wednesday’s draw for the November 7-12 finals in Seville also saw 2022 runners-up Australia put in a group with Kazakhstan and Slovenia. Spain were drawn alongside Canada and Poland while France take on Italy and Germany. The four group winners advance to the semi-finals.
