Paralympics 2024 LIVE, Day 7: India will aim to stretch their best-ever medal tally even further on 4 September at the Paris 2024 Paralympics Games after making a new record on Tuesday. With five medals on 3 September, India touched the 20-medal mark, one more than their previous best of 19 from the Tokyo 2020 Games. The top medal hopes for India on Wednesday are para table tennis player Bhavina Patel and para-archer Harvinder Singh, who won medals at the Tokyo Games.

The five medals on Tuesday came from:
Bronze — Deepthi Jeevanji in women’s 400m T20 category
Silver — Ajeet Singh in Men’s Javelin Throw F46 category
Bronze — Sundar Singh Gurjar in Men’s Javelin Throw F46 category
Silver — Sharad Kumar in Men’s High Jump T63 category
Bronze — Mariyappan Thangavelu in Men’s High Jump T63 category
India will also have three medal matches in para-athletics on Wednesday
Sachin Khilari, Mohd Yasser, and Rohit Kumar will be in action in the men’s shot put F46 final, Amisha Rawat will take part in the women’s shot put F46 final, while Pranav Soorma, Dharambir, and Amit Saroha are scheduled for men’s club throw F51 final. Also in action will be Simran Sharma in women’s 100m T12 round 1.
Rudransh Khandelwal and Nihal Singh will take part in the P4-Mixed 50m Pistol SH1 qualification round with the final also scheduled for the same day.
