Both D Gukesh and Ding Liren will be aiming to break the deadlock that they currently find themselves in when they face each other in Game 10 of the FIDE World Chess Championship on Saturday. Reigning champion Ding and his challenger Gukesh currently are level on 4.5 points each after nine games , with the last six games ending in a draw. The battles between the two players, however, have become fiercer in recent games with Game 7 witnessing a thrilling stalemate that lasted 72 moves and the next two lasting 51 and 54 moves respectively.
Both players have won one game each so far; while Ding had won the opening game to go 1-0 up , Candidates champion Gukesh bounced back in Game 3 with a victory to go level.
