Memphis: India’s Anirban Lahiri, who missed the cut at the FedEx St. Jude Championship on Friday, is currently projected to fall from 63rd to 73rd position making him a doubtful starter at next week’s BMW Championship, followed by the season-finale TOUR Championship.

Right now his spot in the second of the three-week finale is dependent on how some of the others play.

American J.J. Spaun shot 2-under 68 to keep his one-shot lead at the end of the third round. Spaun had a two-putt birdie on the par-5 16th and then he holed an 18-foot birdie putt on the 17th to take the 54-hole lead at 13-under 197.

Cameron Smith birdied his last hole for 67, which left him two shots back at 11-under.
