Will our MP's actually do any work in Parliament this session?

This morning the newspapers are all speculating on whether or not Parliament will be able to conduct a productive session unlike the debacle that took place in the monsoon session where hardly any business was conducted . The NDA are holding a meeting to discuss their parliamentary strategy ahead, while there is also a strong possibility of a Congress core committee meeting later today. A great many bills including the much talked about Janlokpal will come up for debate and it is likely that this particular parliamentary session will be one of the most watched ever.

The other story occupying media mind space is ‘memo gate’ which has seen the recalling of Pakistan’s ambassador to the US. The issue has garnered new relevance with new reports that the memo could be a plot by the military to discredit the civilian government. In yet another development, it is now being speculated that former cricketer Imran Khan may be receiving tacit support from the military.
