 "TDP's Yerran Naidu dies in a road accident, party shocked")
Telugu Desam Polit Bureau member K Yerran Naidu died in a road accident after his car was hit by a petrol tanker in the wee hours today.
The accident took place at 2am at Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh. The senior TDP leader was returning from Srikakulam after attending the last rites of another leader Seera Nageswara Rao, the AEG India reported .
Naidu was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to a hospital but was declared brought dead by the doctors. The leader was returning from Vizag after an event.
He is survived by wife, daughter and a son.
Born in an agricultural family on 23 February 1957, Naidu was very close to TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu. Naidu was also the parliamentary leader for TDP during the NDA regime.
His sudden death has plunged the party into mourning.
