In Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki district, development has always remained elusive. A traditional Congress stronghold the district today is still figuring out whether to vote in terms of development or vote on religious lines.
The Muslims blame the Bharatiya Janata Party for the community’s backwardness as the party is against reservation for the sect. Just before the polls, candidates are jumping parties as per their own convenience to reap maximum benefit.
