MP Finance Minister denies charges of sodomy, cries 'conspiracy'

Madhya Pradesh Finance Minister Raghavji has said that the allegations of sodomy leveled against him by a domestic helper in his house were the result of a ‘political conspiracy’, adding that the Chief Minister would explain the reasons behind his resignation.

Raghavji had resigned after the allegations by the domestic aide who had also provided ’evidence’ by way of a CD that he claims was shot by his friend,who is also employed in the minister’s bungalow.

However the Finance Minister told CNN-IBN that he was not aware of the existence of any CD.

Raghavji’s wife also spoke to the channel and refuted the allegations, saying that they could have been made for money.

The domestic aide has alleged that two of the minister’s men also sodomized him.

Police have so far not registered a case nor given a receipt of the complaint filed by the man, CNN-IBN said. The police did dispatch a team to the minister’s bungalow but when they saw the CNN-IBN team at the minister’s bungalow they left the spot, the channel reported.

CNN-IBN tried contacting the minister at his house but he declined to comment.
