It’s been the world’s worst kept secret: the team that created the BJP’s election media campaign. It was Ogilvy, it was Piyush Pandey. All of us knew that.
No, it wasn’t. It was Soho Square and not Ogilvy, because Ogilvy does not do work for political parties. Now, it’s no longer a secret; in an exclusive conversation with Firstpost, Piyush Pandey tells us about the campaign, the details (more than 200 film scripts, more than 1,000 print ads, more than 100 radio scripts), what the working relationship with the BJP was like, the challenges that the team faced and what he has learned from working on the campaign.
What is the role that the campaign created by Soho Square played in the BJP win, we asked. “Only air cover,” says Pandey, giving the credit to the rank and file of the BJP.
Listen to the podcast above as Pandey gives us an insight into working on an election campaign.
