Patiala: Exuding confidence that Congress will win 70-plus seats in the 117-member Punjab assembly, PCC President Amarinder Singh today ridiculed the claims of exit poll surveys which predict a close fight between ruling SAD-BJP combine and Congress.
“I do not agree with the exit poll reports of your channels. We would get not less than 70 seats. I have already asserted on polling day that we will get 70-plus seats,” Amarinder told reporters here.
Asked about his priorities if his party gets majority, Amarinder alleged that in the last five years SAD-BJP government has failed on all fronts and development of the state has been pushed to backburner.
“We will have to work hard to undo the wrong doings of SAD-BJP government,” he added.
