Candidates in Uttar Pradesh are trying innovative ways to woo voters. These attempts are to beat the mundane and make the fight attractive to the investors, in this case, the electorate.

Independent candidate from Allahabad Kaushal Anand Mishra walks behind donkeys while campaigning. The reason: “The donkeys are symbolic of corrupt politicians in the country,” Mishra said.

Another independent candidate from Kanpur, Naveen Pandit rides on a tonga (horse cart) to campaign. With his unique style of campaigning, he has managed to get the attention of the people.

“I don’t travel in AC vehicles while campaigning. If you are willing to serve people, then you must be like the people,” Pandit said, trying to differentiate himself from routine politicians.
