Buses owned by Badal family will be seized if AAP forms govt in Punjab: Ashish Khetan
AAP on Sunday said if the party comes to power in Punjab, its government will 'seize' the buses owned by the currently ruling Badal family.
New Delhi: AAP on Sunday said if the party comes to power in Punjab, its government will "seize" the buses owned by the currently ruling Badal family and order a probe into road accidents involving them.
"If voted to power in Punjab, we will seize the buses owned by the Badals and probe all the cases of accidents involving them," party leader Ashish Khetan said.
Khetan's statement came in the wake of a road accident involving a bus of Orbit Aviation, co-owned by Punjab's Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, yesterday in which four persons were killed.
Also, two people were mowed down by a bus belonging to Dabwali transport company, co-owned by the Badals, in Ludhiana on Thursday.
Last year, a 13-year-old girl had died after being thrown off a bus belonging to Orbit Aviation by her molesters in Moga district. The incident had triggered protests that embarrassed the Badal family and hogged national headlines.
