As a part of the Australia-India business week, Steven Ciobo, Australian minister for trade, tourism and investment met Union minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday and discussed business opportunities between the two countries. Twitter/ Steve Ciobo
Ciobo, who is accompanied by a delegation of 170 members, also said that negotiations were on for a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the two nations. PTI
On Thursday, Ciobo also met street vendors at Asia's largest wholesale fruit and vegetable market, Azadpur Subzi Mandi in New Delhi. AP
Ciobo said that his delegation was working with Indian businessmen to ensure cooperation in various sectors including agribusiness, smart cities, higher education, innovation, and health. PTI
Ciobo affirmed that the two countries were working on the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and that Australia can complement what India is doing in various fields. PTI
