Another woman has come forward and claimed that she was gangraped by the five men accused of raping a photojournalist in Mumbai’s Shakti Mills.

According to CNN-IBN, the woman has already identified three of the five accused who have been arrested. She alleged that the crime took place on 31 July at the same location where the photojournalist was gangraped.

While the case was registered at the Bhandup police station, it has now been transferred to NM Joshi Marg where the crime branch is investigating the case.

Reports suggest that both the cases will be clubbed together.

During their interrogation, the five accused in the case - Salim Ansari, Vijay Jadhav, Chand Sheikh, Kasim Bangali and Siraj Rehman Khan - have reportedly admitted to the Mumbai Police that they had sexually assaulted at least four women in the last six months.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Police Commissioner Satyapal Singh has said that investigations in the gangrape case are complete and the chargesheet will be filed within a week.

A Times of India report quotes Singh as saying: “We ensured that the investigation was foolproof and there was no scope for laxity … We will take the case to its logical end.”
