Watch: Why is India's workforce lacking women?

The past decade has seen a 10% drop in the number of women who are part of the work force in India. In 2005, there was a rise in the number of working women and the number stood at 37%. However, the number fell drastically in the coming years, going as low as 27% in 2014. Some reasons for women not being part of the workforce include lack of access to higher education among women and dearth of work opportunities. Lack of flexibility in working conditions was also stated as an important reason for the women not being part of India’s workforce. Watch the video to know more.
