BMW launched its 5 Series cars in Mumbai with Sachin Tendulkar
BMW had unveiled the new 5 Series sedan last year and has now launched it in India. Sachin Tendulkar unveiled the all-new BMW 5 Series, while Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India addressed the press. The updated 5-series is designed like its elder sibling – the 7-Series and is larger in dimensions and lighter in weight than the outgoing model. Interestingly, the latest BMW offering will be produced at the company’s Chennai-based manufacturing facility which is also expected to keep the price tag of the car competitive. The car is expected to be launched in three variants – 520d, 530d and 530i. In terms of what's new, one of the most anticipated features is the gesture controls for the infotainment system, remote parking function and more which were first seen on the 7-series.
