Census data says that more than half of Indian households do not have a source of drinking water at home. A fifth of rural households have to walk at least 500 meters to get drinking water. Even then, the water is of questionable quality- India loses as many as 73 million working days to waterborne diseases. This can be a worrying number as India is the largest user of ground water in the world. Automatically, our productivity also decreases. Watch this video to know more.
