'Want god to keep everyone happy': Anant Ambani completes 170-km padayatra from Jamnagar To Dwarkadhish Temple

Anant Ambani, Director of Reliance Industries Limited and son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, completed a 170-km padayatra from Jamnagar to the Dwarkadhish Temple on Sunday. Anant embarked on this journey ahead of his 30th birthday. Lauding his son’s endeavour, Nita Ambani, Founder-Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, highlighted the cultural impact on participants.

“I extend my best wishes to all on the occasion of Ram Navami. I did the darshan of the Dwarikadhish, and with this, my padyatra has completed…” Anant said while speaking to the reporter after completion of the 170-km stretch. The 29-year-old director on the boards of Jio Platforms Ltd, Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd Reliance New Energy Ltd and Reliance New Solar Energy Ltd, began his spiritual walk on March 29.

During his journey, he sought blessings from Lord Dwarkadhish. He walked around 20 kilometres each day, often through the night and was accompanied by Z+ security. On April 4, Anant was joined by Bageshwar Baba. Sarkar Acharya Dhirendra Shastri was seen walking with Reliance Industries Limited Director’s convey. Acharya Dhirendra, widely known as Bageshwar Baba, was in the stretch bare feet.

“Today, it’s Anant’s 30th birthday. It was his wish that he would do this padyatra after our wedding… We feel proud that we are celebrating his birthday here today. I thank all those who blessed him for his padyatra to be successful…” said Radhika Merchant, wife of Anant Ambani.

Meanwhile, Anant recalled the time he shared his decision to go on a spiritual walk with his father and Chairman of RIL, Mukesh Ambani. “When I told my father (Mukesh Ambani) that I wanted to do the walk, he gave me a lot of power, and I want to express my gratitude to him," he said.

During a conversation with News18, “When I told my father (Mukesh Ambani) that I wanted to do the walk, he gave me a lot of power, and I want to express my gratitude to him," said Anant Ambani.

“With God’s grace and blessing, the journey of 10 days will end today on the occasion of Ram Navami. We only want God to keep everyone happy, satisfied and healthy. Although the journey was supposed to end after a day or two, we walked some extra miles in the last two to three days which made it possible for us to reach here on the occasion of Ram Navami," he said.

The RIL non-executive director was chanting the Hanuman Chalisa, Sunderkand, and the Devi Stotra on his way to Dwarka. During his journey, he also received love and warmth from local communities.

The youngest son of billionaire Mukesh Ambani is a devoted pilgrim and philanthropist who often visits India’s revered temples and generously supports their causes. He serves as a trustee at the sacred Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham, further solidifying his commitment to India’s spiritual heritage.
