Wall collapse in Delhi kills four people

New Delhi: Four persons were killed on Friday when a wall of an under construction building collapsed in Hari Nagar area in West Delhi, the fire department said.

According to a fire service official, a call was received at 7:20 pm regarding the collapse of wall of the under construction building.

“A team of fire officials were rushed to the spot and four bodies of labourers, who were working there, was recovered from the debris of the wall of the under construction building,” said the official.

The incident took place in L-block area of Hari Nagar when the labourers were working at the site, he said.

Delhi Police has also confirmed that four persons, aged between 25 and 35, have died in the incident.

“The identities of the deceased have not been established yet and further investigation regarding the owner of the said building is going on,” said a senior police official adding that the bodies have been sent to hospital for postmortem.
