Salman Khan’s Eid releases usually roar at the box-office with massive opening. So much so, for Indian movie-goers, celebrating Eid is synonymous with watching the actor’s film. However, the winds have changes as his latest release Tubelight has failed to cross the 30 crore mark on a single day since its release.
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh’s estimate, in the six days of its release the film has raked in a total of Rs 95.86 crore.
The film also accounts for his lowest openings on Eid since 2012.
Adarsh tweeted the figures and it was surprising to see collections dipping on Eid itself.
Here’s Adarsh’s tweet:
#Tubelight Fri 21.15 cr, Sat 21.17 cr, Sun 22.45 cr, Mon 19.09 cr [Eid], Tue 12 cr. Total: ₹ 95.86 cr. India biz.

Cinema from the South however, has mastered the art of delivering commercial hits after hits. After Baahubali’s unprecedented success, it is Duvvada Jagannadham that has announced its arrival at the box-office. Firstpost had earlier reported that the Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde has trumped Tubelight at the US box-office.
The Telugu film is still going strong at the box office with its worldwide collections being pegged at an impressive Rs 82 crores, as per Indian Express . The film has had a powerful hold on the box-office since the day of its release, with its Day 1 collections amounting to a whopping Rs 33 crores, worldwide.
For Khan, Sultan remains his highest opening weekend on Eid with a collection of Rs 105.53 crores, according to Adarsh.
