Here’s a timeline of all the urban terror attacks that took place in India starting from the serial bombings of Mumbai locals in 2006

July 11, 2006: Multiple bombs on Mumbai commuter trains; 209 killed, 700-plus injured.

February 18, 2007: Firebombing of Samjhauta Express. 68 killed, 140 injured.

May 18, 2007: Bombing of Mecca Masjid in Hyderabad. 9 killed, 52 injured.

May 22, 2007: Three bombs explode in Gorakhpur. 6 injured.

Legal status: Trial pending; attributed to Indian Mujahideen. Uttar Pradesh government is seeking to withdraw charges against accused Tariq Kasmi.

August 25, 2007: serial bombings in Hyderabad. 42 killed, 50 injured.

October 11, 2007: Bomb at Ajmer Sharif shrine. 3 killed, 17 injured.

November 23, 2007: Bombs at court complexes in Lucknow, Faizabad and Varanasi. 13 killed, 42 injured.

May 13, 2008: Serial bombings in Jaipur; 63 killed, 206 injured

July 27, 2008: Serial bombing in Ahmedabad and Surat, involving record 52 IEDs.

December 7, 2010: Two bombs at ShitlaGhat, Varanasi. 2 killed, 34 injured.

May 25, 2011: Failed car bomb attack outside Delhi High Court, New Delhi. No casualties.

July 13, 2011: Three bombs atZaveri Bazaar, Opera House and Kabutarkhana,          Mumbai. 26 killed, 130 injured

September 7, 2011: Bomb at Delhi High Court, Delhi. 15 dead, 87 injured.

February 13, 2012: Bomb attack on Israeli diplomat’s car in New Delhi. 2 injured

August 1, 2012: Serial bombings in Pune. 1 injured.

February 21, 2013: twin bombings in Hyderabad. 17 killed, 117 injured.

April 17, 2013:  Bombing at BJP office in Bangalore. 16 injured.
